Court of Peru made a decision on pre-trial detention for 30 months in respect of Yennifer Paredes – sister of first lady, which, as the head of state, suspected of corruption, said the Prosecutor’s office.”The court found merit in the request for pre-trial detention for 30 months for Yennifer Paredes, in respect of which the investigation of suspected criminal organization,” the statement reads.
Earlier, prosecutors asked for 36 months pre-trial detention for Paredes.
Relatives of the head of state, Pedro Castillo as himself, is suspected of involvement in a criminal organization engaged in fraud in the conduct auctions for infrastructure works.
Castillo has repeatedly denied allegations of crimes imposed on him and his family. Against the President openly six cases, he is suspected of corruption, trading in influence, promotion, people close to him and plagiarism when writing University work.
