First deliveries of the supersonic cruise missile BrahMos to the Philippines will start in 2023, said in an interview with RIA Novosti Director of the company BrahMos from the Russian side, Alexander Maksichev.

This is the first export contract, the company BrahMos. It concluded in January of this year, 375 million dollars. It is planned to supply three batteries of six launchers and missiles.”The first delivery of the missiles will start in 2023. It will be missiles for coastal defense, and coastal missile complex”, – said Maksichev.

BrahMos Aerospace is a joint Indian-Russian venture company, produces supersonic cruise missile that can be launched from submarines, ships, aircraft or ground-based platforms. The company was established in 1998 and named in honor of the rivers Brahmaputra and Moskva. The Russian side in the joint venture is “NPO Mashinostroyenia”.
