Media: two US Navy ships are passing through the Taiwan Strait

Two U.S. Navy ship for the first time after rising tensions between Washington and Beijing are making the passage through the Taiwan Strait, reports Reuters, citing three us officials.

“Two warships of the U.S. Navy carried out a passage through international waters in the Taiwan Strait, which is the first such operation following tensions with China in connection with the visit of the speaker of the house of representatives, Nancy Pelosi Taiwan”, – stated in the message of the Agency.
