Former Czech President Vaclav Klaus said the publication of Seznam Zpravy that energy prices in the world flew, not because of Moscow, and the refusal of supplies from Russia will lead to the stop of the economy.

“The fact that we have a huge inflation and an enormous increase in energy prices, arose long before the 24th of February. We brought this on yourself, the West has brought upon itself”, — the politician said, answering the question about the consequences of the Russian operation in the Ukraine.

Klaus acknowledged that Europe nowhere except Russia, to quickly get the available energy.

“When we get rid of energy dependence on Russia, we will become energy independent, but our economy will stop working,” warned the former President.

He stressed that Russia is very important for the world market, but recalled that the change in fuel prices is due not only to her but also in other circumstances.

“I don’t see why not mention the number one cause of green madness, and alleged suppression of climate change, as well as the Green deal, the EU, which is the main reason for the increase in prices,” said Klaus.

He also called for dialogue with Moscow to resolve the Ukrainian crisis.

“Russia always have to say”, he concluded.

Western countries are faced with rising energy prices and a surge in inflation due to the imposition of sanctions against Moscow and the policy of refusal of the Russian fuel. Due to the cost of fuel, especially gas industry in the West has largely lost its competitive advantage that has affected other sectors of the economy.
