Putin signed a decree on increasing the number of military personnel

Vladimir Putin signed a decree to increase the staffing of the Armed forces of Russia in 137 thousand troops.

The relevant document is published on a portal of legal information.

“Set the regular Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the amount of 2 039 758 units, including 1 150 628 soldiers,” says the new decree.

In accordance with the previous decree of 17 November 2017, the Russian forces numbered 1 902 758 officers and soldiers, including 1 013 628 soldiers.
