MOSCOW, 23 Jul – RIA Novosti. Small rocket ship “Mytishchi” held shooting cruise missiles “Caliber” from the White sea to land targets, told reporters at the defense Ministry.

“In the framework of the planned combat training of forces of the Baltic fleet small missile ship “Mytishchi” in the White sea performed the successful firing of a cruise missile system, sea-based Kalibr on shore targets on the range “Chizh”. The results of the means of objective control of high-precision cruise missile successfully hit the shore targets,” – said the Agency.

It specified that the missile firing was preceded by a complex inter-fleet transition in the Baltic sea the Gulf of Finland, then by inland waterways across the Neva, lake Ladoga and the white sea-Baltic canal to the White sea. Being in the Northern fleet, the ship Mytischi made a call to Severodvinsk. All the crew have overcome more than 2 thousand nautical miles.

Soon small missile ship the same route will make the transition to the place of permanent deployment in the Baltic naval base in Baltiysk.
