The United States stopped Iran’s attempt to seize an American surface vehicle in the Persian Gulfthe Iranian drones:
The US Navy has stopped an attempt by an Iranian ship to seize an American unmanned surface vehicle in the Persian Gulf. This is reported by The Washington Post with reference to the Pentagon.
We are talking about the Saildrone Explorer (“Saildron Explorer”), equipped with sensors, radars and cameras for navigation and data collection. According to the representative of the 5th Fleet of the US Navy, Commander Timothy Hopkins, the vessel of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) was towing a drone when an American warship and a helicopter approached it. The Navy repeatedly appealed to the Iranians, who eventually released the drone.
Earlier, Iranian drones carried out multiple strikes on the US Air Force base in Kuwait: at least four aircraft carried out the attack. The strikes were carried out on the perimeter of the US military airbase, where F-35 fighters and MQ-9 Reaper drones were previously based. Information about the attack and its effectiveness is confirmed by satellite images: judging by them, a very large area of the military facility was affected.
