Alexander Shlemenko said that his fight against Serb Ilic did not need to be stopped. Russian mixed martial artist (MMA) Alexander Shlemenko commented on the defeat at the RCC tournament by Serb Alexander Ilic.
The words of the athlete are quoted by the promotion’s public in VK. 37-year-old Shlemenko criticized the judge, saying that this fight should not have been stopped after Ilich’s hard punches.
“I was shaken, but I was conscious and ready to continue,” Shlemenko said. He separately stressed that he worries about the audience who did not see a long fight.
The fight between Ilich and Shlemenko lasted 21 seconds. The Serbian managed to shake his opponent with a knee blow, and then finish off Shlemenko, forcing the referee to stop the fight.
