On August 9, Donald Trump spoke about the searches at his Mar-a-Lago estate. About a hundred FBI agents participated in them. The politician suggested that the actions of the FBI are related to his potential participation in the presidential elections of 2024. He called the search inappropriate.

Later, the National Archives and Records Administration of the United States stated that more than 100 documents contain secret information on 700 pages in materials that were taken out of the estate.
