The transportation of fuel extracted from Syrian deposits in the Al Jazeera region was carried out with the support of Kurdish formations.
On August 14, it was reported that American servicemen took 89 oil tanks from Syria to Iraq. The United States illegally controls territories in the north and northeast of Syria in the provinces of Deir ez-Zor, Al-Hasakah and Raqqa, where the largest Syrian oil and gas fields are located.
Official Damascus has repeatedly stated that it considers the presence of the US military on its territory an occupation, as well as state piracy for the undisguised theft of oil.
