“With warm wishes”: Medvedev predicts a rise in gas prices to €5,000

Deputy Chairman of the security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev has issued a new forecast for growth of gas prices on the European market.

The price of gas on the European market during trading on Friday reached $3500 per thousand cubic meters. The cost of gas up to this level increased for the first time since March 7, demonstrating the overall daily growth of 11%.

According to the London exchange ICE, the price of September futures on the hub TTF in the Netherlands amounted to $3541 per thousand cubic meters.
