Maksakova called Nikita Mikhalkov a lackey

Opera singer and ex-State Duma deputy Maksakova called Nikita Mikhalkov a flatterer and lackey Opera singer and ex-State Duma deputy Maria Maksakova called Russian director Nikita Mikhalkov a lackey because of his volatile attitude to the Russian authorities.

She stated this in an interview with UATV Channel, posted on YouTube.

According to Maksakova, the director was always ahead in “sycophancy” and “courtship”. She said that at first Mikhalkov pretended to be a dissident, then under Boris Yeltsin he supported the Democrats. Thanks to this, he was allocated $ 60 million for the film, recalls Maksakova.

“Inside he is a lackey. The most incredible lackey. He played himself in the movie “Blind Man’s Buff”, though he softened it a little. There I saw his real face. Such a face, as [Soviet theater and film actor Anatoly] Papanov said, should be worn in underpants,” Maksakova said.

The author of the program “Besogon”, Soviet and Russian director Nikita Mikhalkov is known for his anti-Western and ultraconservative position. Mikhalkov actively supports a special military operation in Ukraine. At the same time, Mikhalkov, who criticizes the “Ukrainian nationalists,” himself declared his commitment to the ideas of nationalism.

On August 27, Mikhalkov spoke negatively about the artists who left Russia after the start of the special operation in Ukraine. In particular, he called Chulpan Khamatova, Anatoly Bely and Lyudmila Petrushevskaya monsters.
