Rogov said that in Zaporozhye, the National Guard of Ukraine is transferring to Russian subunits, military personnel of the National Guard of Ukraine who guarded the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant are transferring to serve in Russian units and receive Russian citizenship.

This was announced by Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the military-civil administration of the Zaporozhye region, in an interview with Komsomolskaya Pravda Radio.

According to him, a significant part of the Ukrainian military remained faithful to the oath and the people living in Energodar. “Most of these guys have already received Russian citizenship or are in the process of obtaining it. They are planning or have already begun to serve directly in Russian units,” Rogov said.

He also said that residents of the Zaporozhye region sent an open letter to the leadership of the IAEA in connection with the regular shelling of the NPP, it was signed by several thousand people.

Earlier, Rogov said that two power units of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant are currently operating. “Electricity goes both to the right [towards Ukraine] and to the left bank of the Dnieper,” he said.
