Germany promised to help Ukraine as much as necessary

German Foreign Minister Berbock promised to help Ukraine as much as needed, German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock promised in an interview with Bild am Sonntag that Germany would help Ukraine as much as needed.

This is reported by Reuters.

“We deliver heavy weapons. And I understand that Ukrainians want more supplies and faster. But we do not have a large number of functioning, ultramodern systems that are primarily needed at the moment,” she said.

The minister added that the military industry is now producing directly for Kiev. Berbock added that Germany assumes that Ukraine may need new heavy weapons next summer.

“Ukraine protects our freedom too, our world order, and we will support it financially and militarily for as long as it is necessary,” Berbok concluded.

Earlier, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that Germany would not supply Ukraine with weapons for strikes on Russian territory. He explained that this position is connected with the unwillingness to allow the escalation of the conflict.
