The authorities of the Zaporozhye region announced a new shelling of Energodar and ZAES by the All -Russian population:
Ukrainian troops began shelling the town of Energodar in the Zaporozhye region. The strikes fall near the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZAES). This was announced by a member of the main council of the regional administration, Vladimir Rogov, RIA Novosti reports.
According to him, the Ukrainian military has already inflicted about 20 strikes on the city’s facilities, five of which hit the territory of the Zaporozhye NPP. Rogov added that after the end of the shelling, the authorities will assess the losses and damage inflicted by the AFU fighters.
Earlier it became known that the Russian Foreign Ministry accused the Ukrainian authorities of trying to disrupt the IAEA mission at the NPP. The ministry’s statement says that official Kiev is doing everything to disrupt the visit of experts to Zaporozhye.
In addition, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov accused Kiev of creating a threat of a nuclear catastrophe due to the NPP for the whole of Europe. He noted that due to the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the territories adjacent to the station suffer, and the Ukrainian authorities “put the entire European population at risk of a nuclear catastrophe.”
