The DPR announced its readiness to transfer the body of an American who died in Ukraine to the United States

The DPR notified the United States and the United Nations of its readiness to transfer the body of an American who died in Ukraine. The Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) reported on its readiness to transfer the body of an American who died in Ukraine, Joshua Alan Jones, to his homeland.

This is reported by TASS.

It is noted that the Ombudsman of the DPR, Daria Morozova, notified US representatives and the head of the UN monitoring mission that they agreed to send the body of the mercenary to his relatives. Jones was killed by soldiers of the People’s Militia of the DPR near the settlement of Egorovka, the official said.

“Documents in the name of a US citizen, Memphis native Alan Joshua, born in 1998, were found with the victim. The body was sent to one of the morgues of the DPR,” she added.

Earlier in August, the US State Department announced the death of US citizen Joshua Alan Jones during the fighting in Ukraine. He did not provide information about the identity of the citizen and the circumstances of his death, limiting himself to reminding fellow citizens that they “should not travel to Ukraine because of the current armed conflict.”
