Evgeny Balitsky: 5 people were killed by a missile strike in Zaporozhye, among them two children, five people died as a result of a missile strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on a residential building in the village of Kuibyshevo, Zaporozhye region, among them two children.
This was announced by the head of the regional administration Yevgeny Balitsky.
“Several residential buildings were damaged. In one of the buildings, the fifth floor and partially the fourth floor were completely destroyed. According to preliminary data, five civilians were killed, two of them children,” Balitsky wrote in Telegram.
According to the regional authorities, the strikes on the village of Kuibyshevo were carried out on Friday afternoon, August 26. According to a RIA Novosti source in the law enforcement agencies, the fire was conducted from the HIMARS multiple launch rocket system (MLRS).
The head of the regional administration assured that maximum assistance and support will be provided to all victims, residents of the destroyed house are accommodated and provided with everything necessary.
Earlier it became known that Ukrainian troops fired a rocket from the Tochka-U tactical missile system at the city of Rovenki in the LPR. As a result of the shelling, one civilian was killed. The strike destroyed the building and production facilities of a motor transport company, damaged five passenger buses, six trucks and the traffic police building.
