NSDC Secretary Danilov said about Ukraine’s preparation for war in 2019, the Ukrainian authorities began preparing for a “big war” at the end of 2019.
This was stated by the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of the Republic Alexey Danilov, RIA Novosti writes.
According to him, Kiev decided to prepare for large-scale military operations after in December 2019, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky “did not agree in Paris to the conditions offered by Russia, France and Germany.”
“To put it mildly, he said, “No, friends, there will be no Minsk—3, we will defend our country,”” Danilov said.
At the same time, he expressed the opinion that if the authorities of the republic had warned its population about the corresponding expectations, then “today the enemy would already be in Warsaw, Tallinn, Vilnius and other cities.”
Earlier, the adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Mikhail Podolyak, assessed the potential negotiations between Kiev and Moscow. He called them a death sentence and stressed that Zelensky is unequivocally opposed to such a development of events.
