The EU country has issued a permit to Rosatom for the construction of a nuclear power plant

Company Rosatom has received permission from the Hungarian Department of atomic energy for the construction of the 5th and 6th power units of nuclear power plant Paks. On 26 August the official website of the Department.

“The state Department of atomic energy… gives permission for the construction of the 5th and 6th units of the nuclear power plant to be constructed on the basis of the “Paks””, — reads the statement of the Hungarian control.

It is clarified that the license is valid for ten years from the date of its signing.

Earlier, on 13 July, the Minister of foreign Affairs and foreign economic relations of Hungary péter Szijjártó said that the Hungarian authorities are negotiating new supply routes for the security elements of the Paks nuclear power plant.

Hungary plans to get the items for the project “Paksh-2” in an expedited manner and in the fall to lay concrete blocks, despite the situation around Ukraine.

Then, on July 13, Szijjártó said that Hungary is not even ready to discuss the embargo on Russian gas and will not support a new package of EU sanctions if it included restrictions against as Gazprom and Gazprombank. July 5, Szijjártó said that Hungary is physically unable to refuse the use of Russian energy, replacing them with fuel supplies from other countries.
