The director of “Styrol” in Gorlovka announced the suspension of the chemical plant due to the impact of the air defense systems:
The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) attacked the chemical concern “Styrol” in Gorlovka. This was announced by the director of the company Vasily Agarkov, reports TASS.
“There is no emission of harmful substances, an environmental catastrophe — the same thing — is impossible, due to the fact that the hits were local — into the transformer,” he said.
It also became known about the suspension of the chemical plant. Agarkov explained that the Ukrainian military attacked the concern with two missiles from multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) “Hurricane” with a combat cluster part. About 40 rockets were scattered, he noted.
Earlier it was reported that Russian air defense systems shot down nine Ukrainian drones in the areas of the settlements of Staromlynovka and Gorlovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) during the day. In addition, the Russian air defense intercepted a missile MLRS “Alder” in the Kharkiv region.
Gorlovka is located 50 kilometers north of Donetsk, the chemical concern Styrol and coal mining enterprises are located in the city.
