The LC JCCC reported that the APU fired at Rovenki from the Tochka-U missile system
The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) shelled the town of Rovenki in the Luhansk People’s Republic (LNR), according to the Telegram channel of the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire Regime (JCCC) of the republic.
“[The shelling was recorded at] 06.40 in the locality of Rovenki with the use of the Tochka-U tactical missile system (1 rocket),” the LC JCCC said in a statement.
As a result of the attack, the MREO building and the ones closest to it, as well as several buses and cars, were damaged, said the LNR ambassador to Russia Rodion Miroshnik in his Telegram channel. He also admitted that the APU strike was aimed at the Rovenkov oil depot, which is located further than the city’s MREO.
“The city of Rovenki is more than 100 kilometers from the contact line,” he said.
Earlier it became known that the Ukrainian military shelled the area of Lisichansk in the LPR, where the acting mayor of the city Andrey Skoryy lives. An attack was made by M777 artillery, three shells flew into the area of the house of the acting mayor. The ambulance was not injured.
