Agreement signed: Slovakia will send to Ukraine will receive its own infantry fighting vehicles, and in return it will receive Leopard tanks from Germany

Ukraine will receive from Slovakia, 30 tracked combat vehicles BVP-1, and Slovakia will receive from Germany 15 tanks Leopard.

This was stated by the Minister of defence of Slovakia Jaroslav Nagy on Twitter.

“My Deputy just signed an agreement with the Deputy Minister of defence of Germany. Slovakia will send to Ukraine 30 of its infantry fighting vehicles and get 15 Leopard2A4 from Germany,” wrote Nagy.

Nagy did not say when exactly Ukraine will get combat vehicles from Slovakia. However, he suggests that they will arrive in the next few weeks.

BVP-1 is a Czechoslovak modification of the BMP-1, manufactured under the Soviet license in the years 1970-1989.
