This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister Irina Vereshchuk, according to the website of the Ministry of Reintegration.

“The Ministry of Integration appealed to the NBU (National Bank of Ukraine — approx. “Tapes.) with a request to sort out the current situation in the state bank of JSC CB Privatbank,” Vereshchuk quotes the agency’s website. She also asked to take measures to stop updating data and mass blocking of clients registered in the republics.

According to her, the bank’s clients from LDNR are dissatisfied with the requirement of the application and the website of the financial institution to provide personal data, where the place of residence is confirmed. It is noted that customers also face such a requirement during a personal visit to the bank. For refusing to provide information, customers are threatened with account blocking during August.

Such bank requirements and blocking of accounts are unacceptable, the Deputy Prime Minister noted.

Earlier, the administration said that Ukraine had blocked bank accounts in the region. Among the banks that have blocked accounts, Privatbank and Oschadbank are called. At the same time, it is noted that banks integrated into the Russian financial system will start operating in the region in the near future.
