The representative of the Foreign Ministry Zakharova said that Russia has never been aimed at “splitting” Europe
Russia has never been aimed at splitting Europe. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, her words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
“We are not aimed at splitting [Europe]. This has never been our task. If we are aiming at something, it is the return of common sense in international relations,” the diplomat stressed.
Zakharova compared the members of the European Union (EU) with the characters of the painting by the artist Peter Bruegel “The Blind”. “They are united. None of this group of blind people, who are being led to the cliff, expresses doubts, objections, does not ask questions, does not protest. They are going to the cliff as a group,” she said.
Earlier, Zakharova commented on the situation at the Zaporozhye NPP and called Kiev’s constant shelling of a nuclear facility destructive, dangerous and suicidal.
