The IAEA mission will arrive at the NPP this week

IAEA Director General Grossi announced plans for the agency’s mission to arrive at the NPP this week, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi said that the organization’s mission is being sent to the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (NPP).

He wrote about this on his Twitter account.

“We must ensure the safety and security of the largest nuclear facility in Ukraine and Europe. I am proud to lead this mission,” the message reads.

Earlier, The New York Times reported that it had identified a group of experts to visit the Zaporozhye NPP. The agency’s list includes 14 people, mostly from neutral countries. Also among the members of the delegation was the head of the IAEA, Rafael Mariano Grossi. There are no representatives of the United States and Great Britain in the mission.
