Russia has distributed in the UN Security Council evidence of the shelling of the Zaporozhye NPP of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on August 25, the Russian Permanent Mission to the UN stated that it had distributed in the UN Security Council evidence of the shelling of the Zaporozhye NPP by Ukraine.

This is reported in the official Twitter account of the representative office.

“We have distributed among the members of the UN Security Council a letter about the presentation of the Russian Defense Ministry about the shelling of the Zaporozhye NPP by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on August 25,” the publication notes.

According to the permanent mission, the radiation level at the NPP power units is controlled and maintained within the normal limits.

Earlier, the mission of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) received security guarantees from Russia and Ukraine for a visit to the nuclear power plant. “Now an IAEA mission can be deployed there [at the NPP], an independent mission that will be protected,” French President Emmanuel Macron stressed.
