Vucic informed about the condition of acceptance of Kosovo’s requirements for entry documents

Serbia declared its readiness to partially accept Kosovo’s requirements for entry documents, Serbian President Alexander Vucic announced the condition for accepting Kosovo’s requirements for entry documents.

Thus, the head of the country said that the state is ready to partially accept the demands of the Kosovo Albanian authorities in Pristina. However, the government expects certain guarantees from the European Union (EU).

“We are ready to accept their documents and issue a general explanation and place it at the points of administrative transition in accordance with the previously signed one, but there is one condition, and therefore an agreement has not been reached earlier, we are waiting for EU guarantees,” the politician said.

A new escalation on the border of Serbia and Kosovo occurred on July 31. In the northern regions of Kosovo, air alarms went off, and the Serbs began to build barricades in the place of Rudare, on the Pristina —Leposavich highway and near the town of Zvecan. Shots were heard in the border area.

The next day, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic spoke in favor of continuing the dialogue to resolve the situation in Kosovo, he made such an appeal after consultations at the General Staff of the armed forces of the country.

The Kosovo authorities postponed the procedure for the introduction of a ban on Serbian documents from August 1 to September 1. This decision was made after the call of the US Ambassador to postpone the restriction of entry, which caused an aggravation in the north of the region.
