The amount of the contract with a firmly fixed price is US$ 182,295,333. Funds for the conclusion of the contract were allocated at the expense of the Security Assistance Initiative of Ukraine.
On August 24, US President Joe Biden announced that Washington would provide the largest package of military assistance to the Ukrainian state in the amount of $ 2.98 billion. With the money received, Kiev will be able to purchase air defense systems, artillery weapons and ammunition, electronic warfare systems in order to “continue to defend itself in the long term.”
According to Bloomberg, as part of the new package of military assistance, the United States will send Ukraine six NASAMS anti-aircraft missile systems (SAMs) and 300,000 artillery and mortar shells. Among other things, Ukraine will receive financial resources for military training.
