Czech Republic has called an urgent meeting of EU energy ministers

Czech Prime Minister Fiala announced the convening of an urgent meeting of the Ministers of Energy of the countries of the Czech Republic, as the country chairing the Council of the European Union, convened an urgent meeting of the Ministers of Energy of the member states of the association.

This was announced by Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala, RIA Novosti writes.

It is planned to discuss “specific emergency measures to resolve the energy situation” at the meeting. The fact of the preparation of the meeting was confirmed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic. “The date of the meeting will be determined in the near future,” said Voytech Srnka, a spokesman for the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Earlier, the representative of the press service of the Czech Foreign Ministry, Aneta Kovarzhova, said that an informal meeting of EU foreign ministers will be held in Prague on August 30-31. It will be dedicated to Ukraine and assistance to Africa. During the meeting, a lunch will also be held with the participation of the Foreign Ministers of Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia.
