Scholz refused to supply Ukraine with weapons for strikes against Russia

Scholz: Germany will not supply Ukraine with weapons for strikes on RussiaGermania will not supply Ukraine with weapons for strikes on the territory of Russia.

This was stated by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, reports T-Online.

He explained that this position is connected with the desire to avoid further escalation of the conflict. “US President Joe Biden formulated it quite clearly, saying that he would not supply weapons with which to shell the territory of Russia. I think everyone else should adhere to this principle,” Scholz said.

On August 25, German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock said that the Bundeswehr is experiencing an absolute shortage of weapons stocks. According to the politician, for this reason, arms supplies from Germany to Ukraine are on a fine line.

Prior to that, Scholz noted that Germany supplies Ukraine with enough weapons. According to him, Gepard anti-aircraft tanks have already been delivered to Kiev, and deliveries of the Cobra artillery radar and the Iris-T air defense system are planned in the near future. “Germany will help Ukraine as much as it is necessary,” the Chancellor promised.
