The graduate told about the ban on speaking Russian in the schools of Severodonetsk

Russian Russian-speaking schoolchildren were reprimanded by teachers in front of the whole class in schools of the previously Kiev-controlled Severodonetsk in the Luhansk People’s Republic (LNR), students were forbidden to speak Russian, said Nikita Degtyarev, a graduate of one of the educational institutions, in conversations with RIA Novosti.

“There was practically no Russian language at all. If someone had something slip – parents to the director, and the students avoided and did not talk. I don’t remember anyone speaking Russian,” he said.

According to Degtyarev, teachers encouraged students to denounce the Russian speech they had heard. Subsequently, the students were reported to the whole class, and the director conducted a conversation with their parents. At the same time, the Russian language was in the school curriculum, the agency interlocutor noted, but the students did nothing in these lessons.

Earlier, Federation Council member Sergei Tsekov said that Russophobia is the main problem of Ukraine. The senator said that the state of Ukraine is deplorable, and it is the displacement of Russian culture that the parliamentarian called the main reason for this situation of the country.
