NYT: The IAEA has formed a mission to visit the Zaporozhye NPP next week, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has identified a group of experts to visit the largest Zaporozhye NPP in Europe.

This is reported by The New York Times (NYT).

The agency’s list, which was reviewed by the newspaper, included 14 people, mostly from neutral countries. Among the members of the delegation was the head of the IAEA, Argentine Rafael Mariano Grossi. There are no representatives of the United States and Great Britain in the mission. The newspaper claims that the visit is planned for next week.

The IAEA headquarters in Vienna declined to comment, but confirmed that active consultations are underway on the dispatch of the mission.

Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry said that the radiation situation at the Zaporozhye NPP remains normal. According to the agency, the full-time technical staff monitors the condition of the NPP and ensuring its functioning. Over the past day, the territory of the station was shelled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) three times, the ministry stressed.
