“In accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia, on the basis of the Law on the President of the Republic, after consultations with 10 parties, I decide to propose Ana Brnabic for the post of Prime Minister,” Vucic suggested to the People’s Assembly (unicameral Parliament).
At the same time, the Serbian leader stressed that Brnabic will not hold the post of prime minister for four years, since changes in the composition of the government will take place in 2024.
Brnabic headed the Serbian government in 2017. Presidential elections and early parliamentary elections were held on April 3, and on July 14, consultations between the President and political parties on the formation of a new Cabinet of Ministers began.
