Governor Shapsha announced the completion of the construction of the Northern Bypass of Kaluga

Beginning in 2019, the construction of the Northern bypass Kaluga completed, according to the government of the Kaluga region.

It is reported that on Friday, the Governor of the region Vladislav Shapsha together with the Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on budget and financial markets Anatoly Artamonov controlled the final stage of works on construction of the Northern bypass of Kaluga, on a plot of Annenki – Zherelo.

Shapsha thanked the builders for reliable and quality work.

“Construction began in late 2019. During this time, all that can and need to do done. You only have to run the road,” the Governor said, adding that now the contractor does the access roads to the bypass, two of the five have already been repaired.

He noted that the building was in difficult conditions. “Pandemic, sanctions. But despite this, two and a half years, a record for such a period, we received a wonderful road”, – said Shapsha.

According to the government of Kaluga region, the road all along has four lanes with a width of 3.75 meters. The estimated speed of 120 kilometers per hour. In the course of the works constructed six multi-level transport interchanges, three bridges and seven underpasses. The project will complete the construction of a ring road with a length of 84.6 kilometers, its construction began in the 1990-ies. The intensity of the traffic according to preliminary data will reach 40 thousand cars a day.

“This is a very important object for Kaluga, our region and other regions of the Central Federal district. Around the regional center will be closed ring, with a length of 84 kilometres. The completion of the project will open up good prospects for the economy, housing and in General for the development of Kaluga agglomeration” – said the head of the region.

Anatoly Artamonov in his turn, noted that the Northern bypass is a “model construction”.

“The object is constructed in two and a half years ahead of schedule input with very good quality and improvement, with all the necessary utilities. This road must benefit and work on the economy of the region and the country as a whole”, – said the Senator.
