Milford tea producer transferred business in Russia to local management

German Laurens Spethmann holding, which produces tea Milford, has passed control of a subsidiary to its CEO – Ilya Blinov, follows from the data register.

So, according to the extract from the register, “Milford” in mid-August, changed the owner from Laurens Spethmann Holding AG&Co.KG the General Director Ilya Blinov. RIA Novosti has sent a request to the company.

Prior to this, in early August, the international tea company Ekaterra owning tea brands, Lipton, Brooke Bond and Saito, after the sale by Unilever tea business, adopted a decision on the termination of its activities on the territory of the Russian Federation. It was noted that in connection with these tea brands will no longer be produced in the Russian market by the end of 2022.

The company “Milford” is a subsidiary of the German holding Laurens Spethmann, was founded in 1907. The company’s production capacity from existing plants to produce around eleven billion tea bags a year. The company’s headquarters is located in Germany and production facilities in Austria, France, Russia and Germany.
