. The volume of investments in the Leningrad region in the first half of this year amounted to 209,5 billion rubles, told RIA Novosti the representative of the press service of the regional administration.
According to Petrostat, the growth of investment in fixed capital at the end of the first half of 2022 made up of 131.3 percent to the corresponding period last year. In monetary terms, the volume of investments in the regional economy was 209,5 billion. As explained in the press service of them large and medium-sized enterprises have invested in the regional economy 195 billion, this figure also rose compared to the same period last year, up 33 percent.
“Despite the overall volatility and strong statements of foreign companies, the growth of investment in the Leningrad region continues, primarily due to large-scale projects. The share of the largest investors in the total amount of investment is now at 77%. In addition, the region is actively engaged in the construction of infrastructure projects and housing, which gives a good multiplier effect for the economy of the Leningrad region as a whole”, — said the Governor of Leningrad region Alexander Drozdenko.
Among the largest investors – “EuroChem Northwest-2”, “KINEF”, “NOVATEK-Ust-Luga”, Leningrad NPP, “Gazprom invest Zapad”, “Gazprom Mezhregiongaz”, LOESCH and others, said the press service of the administration.
