Pashinyan urged the EAEU countries to take advantage of digitalization

Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan on Friday at a meeting of the Eurasian intergovernmental Council in Cholpon-ATA (Kyrgyzstan) urged the Union to actively use the benefits of digitalization.

“The important factor for the decision of tasks in view is to use the advantages tsifrovizatsii, which in turn creates a solid Foundation for effective integration and collaboration of member States in the sphere of high technologies. World experience clearly showed how much the economic effect of its implementation”, – said the Prime Minister.

According to him, the promotion of digital technologies in the field of economy and trade prostimulirujte minimize and eliminate existing barriers, which in turn will increase the efficiency of economic relations, will reduce costs to trade and cooperation chains.

“Another important area I consider the development of e-Commerce. For the countries of the EAEU state regulation and control in the sphere of e-Commerce are becoming more relevant, dictating the need for a robust control system with the provision of the mechanisms of taxation in line with international best practices in tax administration,” said Pashinyan.

He noted that, given the sensitivity of the issue, need to work together to quickly move in the direction of improving the regulatory environment for electronic Commerce.
