Omsk region begins active cooperation with the regions of Armenia

Omsk oblast is entering the active phase of cooperation with the regions of Armenia, said on Thursday the Governor of the region Alexander Burkov following the signing of a cooperation agreement with the Gegharkunik region.

“Yesterday, at a meeting of the Omsk delegation to the government of Armenia, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that our intentions to develop the Armenian-Russian relations must soon be transformed into concrete steps and figures. Today, we are in the active phase of cooperation with the regions of Armenia, Gegharkunik region, together with the head of the region, we discussed what to do and what the company be connected,” he said.

Burke explained that it is, in particular, about the joint high-tech projects and scientific research. A key goal of this work, according to the Governor, to increase trade turnover between Omsk oblast and Armenia.

The document was signed by Alexander Burkova and head region of Armenia Karen Sargsyan is a plan of joint activities in the field of agriculture for the next two years. It includes testing of crop varieties Omsk selection in the climatic conditions of Armenia, the supply of agricultural machinery and accessories for farmers, Gegharkunik region, as well as joint cooperation in agricultural engineering.

Also on Thursday, in the Gegharkunik province rector of the Omsk state pedagogical University of Ivan Crott signed an agreement with a colleague of Gavar state University Ruzanna Hakobyan.

Following the visit of the delegation of Omsk region decided that the head of Gegharkunik region will coordinate the cooperation of the Russian region of all regions of Armenia. In the framework of the visit to Gegharkunik Governor Alexander Burkov visited a local facility for the breeding of fry and processing Sevan and rainbow trout, construction solar power plant farm and greenhouse.
